Ever since I can remember I have loved drawing and designing. For many, many years I took pencil and paper to create my work...until I was around 13; that's when my father got my sister and I our first computer. A few months later we got internet! It was awesome, so amazing! Suddenly it seemed that a computer without internet was like a very bulky and ugly desk decoration.

After a few months of surfing the web I quickly began to wonder how a webpage was made - So I sat out to find out just how. With a littlew searching here and there I found out that webpages were made (for the most part) with html (hypertext markup language) code. I quickly discovered how to see the html code of any website and began exploring the function of every tag I ran across.

I made verious webpages, very simple and ugly webpages, webpage with links to other pages, pages I liked and such. Then I felt the pages were all text and not very aesthetic; so I then decided to learn how to make computer graphics. Started out with MS Paint, then moved onto Paint Shop Pro; finally, I learned that Photoshop was the industry standard so I learned the program...Photoshop 5.0.

After Photoshop I discovered that Flash 3.0 made it easy to add animation to I learned it through online tutorials and experimenting. By this time I fell in love with everything and anything that dealt with computer-related media.

After graduating from High School with honors, I attended Santa Monica College's Academy of Entertainment and Technology (AET) where I finally received formal instruction on the various programs I had learned on my own, as well as other applications needed for the industry (InDesign, Illustrator). I then became a member of the AET's first ever Graphic Design Club and won the logo contest. I then continued my education at USC, as well as the good ole' online tutorials, which is where I learned After Effects.

Thirteen years after receiving my first computer I am here as a professional doing what I love and loving what I do.
